Pasta
There’s something truly special about homemade pasta, the comfort of freshly rolled pastas, beautiful sauces simmering away, and recipes lovingly shared through generations.
As part of my cooking from scratch journey, I’m learning the art of homemade pasta one recipe at a time. From ravioli and fresh pasta, to hearty sauces and comforting family favourites. This space is all about learning, experimenting, and enjoying the process.

Jen's Bolognese
My Bolognese is the kind of recipe that has evolved over years of home cooking. Made with beef, tomatoes, lentils, plenty of vegetables and fragrant herbs, it’s slowly simmered for three to four hours to develop a beautifully rich flavour. A Parmesan rind adds the finishing touch. Serve it simply with pasta, use it in lasagne with creamy Mornay sauce, or make a generous batch to freeze for another day.
