These Orange Grove Poppy Seed Muffins are light, soft and bursting with fresh orange flavour. Delicately glazed with a whisper of orange icing and finished with a drizzle of chocolate, they're the perfect balance of citrus, sweetness and homemade comfort.

These Orange Grove Poppy Seed Muffins are my very first test bake.

They were inspired by an orange tree I walked past on a morning walk with Arlo. I fell in love with the delicate orange blossoms and the bright bursts of fruit hanging from the branches. I couldn't resist picking an orange that was reaching over the fence line.

The moment I peeled it, the beautiful citrus aroma transported me to an orange grove. As I stood there breathing it in, I couldn't help but dream up the flavours that would complement this sweet little treat.

This recipe is the beginning of that journey. It may not be perfect, but it's made with curiosity, simple ingredients and a whole lot of heart. If you have a tip or suggestion, I'd love to hear it, because we're learning together.
