Soft - Spiced and perfectly Chunky
These gingerbread cookies are everything I love about baking from scratch, simple ingredients, beautiful warm spices and a kitchen that smells incredible while they're in the oven.
I made mine into chunky little hearts, keeping the dough nice and thick so they have a slightly crisp edge with a lovely soft centre. Once cooled, I finished them with a generous drizzle of melted milk chocolate, not perfectly piped or overly decorated, just rustic and homemade.

This is another recipe I've loved adding to my from-scratch cooking journey. It's simple enough to make with the kids, lovely tucked into lunchboxes, and perfect alongside a warm cup of tea or coffee.
I hope you'll give these little gingerbread hearts a try in your own kitchen.
Happy baking...
Warm regards,
